MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Ole Miss rifle broke a few records on their way to a dominating 4743-4670 win over No. 12 Memphis to extend their winnings streak to four straight matches.

Ole Miss (4-1, 2-1) began by tying the program's smallbore record, set in 2020, by shooting a 2361. The Rebels continued their success in air rifle, firing a 2382. The total aggregate score of 4743 is the highest in program history.

Ole Miss placed the top three individual scorers. At the top of the leaderboards, Lea Horvath fired a career-high 1194 aggregate, topping her previous mark of 1190. Senior Kristen Derting was right behind her as she also shot a new career-high of 1187. Freshman Jullianna Hays landed in third, tying her highest total of her career with an 1179. Katelyn Tinsley excelled as a the seventh best individual scorer, shooting an 1166 aggregate score.

In smallbore, the Rebels had six of the top seven individuals. Horvath's incredible day started with a career-high 594, which tied her teammate Derting for the individual program record. Derting stepped up for a season-high 592 in smallbore. She tied the school record with Horvath in kneeling with a 199. The stellar freshmen duo of Hays and Emma Pereira scored 589 and 586. The Rebels outshot Memphis (2-4), 2361-2306 in smallbore. Tinsley also achieved a career-high in smallbore, scoring a 580.

Horvath highlighted air rifle, firing a perfect 600 for the third time in her career. She is the only woman in NCAA history with three perfect scores. Derting, Hays, and Martina Gratz each scored higher than 590. Hays finished with a career-high 593 and Gratz with a season-high 594 in air rifle.

Coach Beasley said after the match, "I'm thrilled to see the team set a new school record today. They performed very well and worked through the challenges that came up. Five team members had personal bests in some part of their match and two others had season bests. Personal records and season bests are a good indicator this team is making important progress. They've been putting in the work and I'm so proud we were able to put together a great score today.

Memphis compiled a team score of 4670 (2306 in smallbore and 2364 in air rifle). The Tigers fell behind in smallbore but shot well in air rifle with the Tigers' top shooter, Gabriela Zych, firing a 1179 aggregate score. She finished with the second-best air rifle score of 598. Angeline Henry was also a top-five individual performer with a 1172 aggregate score.

Ole Miss returns home for a fight against the 2022 National Champion Kentucky. The Rebels will face off against the Wildcats on November 19, starting at 8 a.m.
