No. 15 Men’s Tennis Hosts North Alabama for Friday Doubleheader

OXFORD, Miss. – No. 15 Ole Miss men's tennis (7-1, 0-0 SEC) faces North Alabama (0-5, 0-0 ASUN) in two home dual matches starting at 11 a.m. CT inside the William F. Galtney Tennis Center on Friday.

Ole Miss gears up to host North Alabama for doubleheader action on Friday. The Rebels carry an undefeated 7-0 home record into the two matches versus the Lions. The Rebels have earned sweeps in four out of seven wins this season.

Lucky No. 7

The Rebels improved to 7-1 this season after going 2-1 overall last week. The Rebels won at home, 7-0 and 4-0, versus Alcorn State on Feb. 2, and narrowly fell 4-3 to No. 4 TCU in Fort Worth, TX. The Rebels started the season with the most consecutive victories (7) since the 2007 season (8).

Rankings Revamped

No. 1 singles player Nikola Slavic improved to No. 18 in singles in the latest ITA Rankings. The Rebels stayed at No. 15 in the team poll for the second consecutive week. No. 2 singles player Finn Reynolds also received an individual ranking at No. 111.

Sleepless 'Til Seattle

Next up for the Rebels after facing North Alabama is a trip to Seattle for the ITA National Indoor team champions. The tournament is set to begin on Fri. Feb. 18 and runs through Tue. Feb. 22 for the championship dual. Seeding and match draws will be made available by the ITA on Feb. 15.

Scouting the Lions

North Alabama has started the season 0-5 after falling to two SEC opponents (Auburn and No. 19 Mississippi State) and two C-USA opponents (Middle Tennessee and UAB) all on the road. Guilherme Diniz leads the Lions with two singles victories at the No. 5 position.

Friday's doubleheader has been officially denoted as "Doubles Day"!
