OXFORD, Miss. – No. 43 Ole Miss men's tennis (11-9, 1-6 SEC) hosts No. 9 Georgia (13-5, 5-2 SEC) on Friday at 3 p.m. CT and competes at No. 35 Mississippi State (12-8, 2-4 SEC) at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday.
 
Ole Miss men's tennis looks to get back on the offensive at home at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center on Friday and on the road in Starkville on Sunday. The Rebels have lost five straight matches after starting the 2022 season 11-4.
 
History Repeats?
 
The Rebels defeated Georgia 4-3 on the road last season. The win at Georgia was the Rebels' first win in Athens since 2003. Simon Junk clinched the win at No. 5 Singles.
 
Ole Miss earned a 5-2 victory versus rival Mississippi State at Palmer/Salloum in 2021. The Rebels lead the all-time series versus the Bulldogs 52-30 dating back to 1970. The win last season was the Rebels' first since 2016.

The Rebels have placed three individuals in the national ITA rankings, two in singles and one pair in doubles. Lukas Engelhardt and Finn Reynolds lead the way, ranked No. 12 in the nation in doubles. Nikola Slavic is in at No. 36 in singles and is followed at No. 110 by 2021 All-American Reynolds.
 
Ole Miss moved back four positions in the national rankings in the updated ITA Rankings on Wednesday,

Georgia heads to Oxford after falling in their sole match last weekend, 4-3, at Texas A&M on March 27. The Bulldogs are 5-2 in conference play this season, earning wins over Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Arkansas and Tennessee.
 
Georgia is led in singles by Tulane transfer Hamish Stewart at No. 17 in the rankings. He is followed by No. 32 Tristan McCormick, No. 76 Phillip Henning and No. 104 Trent Bryde. Henning and Bryde also rank No. 26 in doubles in front of No. 53 Blake Croyder and Erik Grevelius and No. 65 McCormick and Stewart. Henning also ranks No. 73 when paired with Stewart.

Mississippi State hosts Ole Miss after winning their previous match at home, 5-0, over Alabama on Friday March 25. The Bulldogs ended a three-match losing streak by defeating the Crimson Tide. Mississippi State is 11-4 at home this season.
 
The Bulldogs have two individual players featured in the ITA Singles Rankings. No. 39 Florian Broska and No. 72 Nemanja Malesevic.
