The Course
Playing at 7,005 yards as a par 70, Sea Island's Seaside course is a Tom Fazio re-design of the 1929 classic by famous golf course architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison. Seaside is an ocean-side links course that combines its beautiful natural setting with a golf course that is both challenging and fun. The beautifully manicured fairways and greens are bordered by sweeping dunes mixed with native grasses, wildflowers, and bunkers. And the wind creates a different golf experience daily. Seaside is routinely ranked among the top 100 courses in the United States, and along with the Plantation Course, is the home of the PGA TOUR's RSM Classic, a FedEx cup event hosted by Sea Island touring professional Davis Love III.

Rebels in the Rankings
The Rebels enter the SEC Championship ranked as the No. 21 team in the nation according to Golfstat, while also slotting into the No. 24 position in the latest addition of Golfweek/Sagarin's NCAA Rankings. Senior Jackson Suber remains the lone Rebel to crack both Golfweek/Sagarin and Golfstat's NCAA Individual Rankings, with Suber currently sitting No. 38 and No. 46, respectively. Suber also finds himself in the latest PGA TOUR University Velocity Global Rankings for the Rebels, ranking No. 12 in the country while fellow Rebel Evan Brown also earned a ranking, climbing to No. 60 overall.

Last Time Out-2021 SEC Championships
Last season the Rebels saw an outing where the team finished 12th at the conclusion of stroke play at the 2021 SEC Championship, missing out on the match play portion of the tournament. Jackson Suber led the Rebels with a 20th place finish individually in stroke play, shooting a 214 (+4) over three days that included a final round of 65 (-5), helping Suber make history as the first Rebel to ever shoot a 65 or lower at the SEC Championship.

Suber Chases History
Jackson Suber heads into St. Simons Island chasing Rebel history to conclude his 2021-22 season at Ole Miss, as the Tampa, Florida, native currently holds a stroke average of 69.48 on the year, putting him on pace to break the program record for lowest season stroke average in Rebel history. The current record holder is former NCAA champion Braden Thornberry, whose 2016-17 season saw him put together a stroke average of 69.57 on the year.

Meeks Has Strong Season Finale in West Point
Redshirt-freshman Kye Meeks saw a strong end to his regular season at the Mossy Oak Collegiate Invitational, with Meeks earning a new career-best finish of 12th overall. A pair of rounds below par bookended the career week for Meeks, as the Walnut, Mississippi, native shot rounds of 70 (-2) and 71 (-1) to open and close his tournament. Meeks' 12th place finish marks the first top 20 finish of his college career, having previously set a personal best finish of 31st at the Cabo Collegiate, which he later matched at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate.

Next on Tee
Following the Rebels' week at the SEC Championship, the team will await to learn their postseason future with the NCAA Selection Show on May 4. The Rebels will be aiming to punch their ticket to one of six regionals hosted by Texas A&M, Florida Atlantic, Yale, Pacific, Alabama, Ohio State and Arizona State, which will each run May 15-18.
