Softball Drops Series Finale To Arkansas

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss was unable to get the bats going against Arkansas, falling 8-0 Sunday afternoon to the Razorbacks at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
It was a pitcher's duel early on as Anna Borgen and Arkansas' Haff were dealing in the circle through four innings. Tate Whitley and Sydney Gutierrez recorded the Rebels' only hits of the afternoon, a triple in the third and a double in the seventh.
With two outs in the top of the fifth, the Razorbacks broke things open, scoring five runs on a pair of home runs. They added another run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to make it 8-0.
Ole Miss is back in action, hosting Tennessee State on Tuesday in a doubleheader.
