THE COURSE
Playing at 7,289 yards as a par 70, the Grayhawk Golf Club Raptor Course in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers thrilling challenges that command players' respect through a high-stakes game of risk and reward. The Tom Fazio-designed course unfolds over the gentle hills and across shaded natural arroyos found in this picturesque corner of the Sonoran Desert. Most of Raptor's fairways are generous, and the greens are large with sweeping undulations. Misses tend to find deep greenside bunkers and grass collection areas, making the scramble to get up and down a true test of the short game. The Grayhawk Raptor Course is one of only two Scottsdale golf courses to have hosted a PGA TOUR event, with the course playing home to the Frys.com Open from 2007-2009. Other tour-sanctioned tournaments played at Raptor include the inaugural Williams World Challenge, Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf and Waste Management Phoenix Open pro ams.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH MALLOY
"We're excited to be out here. The finals or the national championship, anytime you can be here and have this be your last week of the season, it's your goal. We just have to give ourselves a chance over four rounds and put ourselves in a good spot to get into match play."

REBELS IN THE POLLS
Ole Miss enters the 2022 NCAA Championships ranked as the No. 23 team in the nation according to Golfstat. The Rebels also hold a No. 24 ranking in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Collegiate Team Rankings. Senior Jackson Suber stands as the lone Rebel to enter the weekend with an individual ranking in both the Golfstat and Golfweek/Sagarin Individual NCAA Rankings, with Suber being ranked No. 18 and No. 20 in each, respectively. Suber has also risen to No. 8 in the country in the newest edition of the PGA TOUR University Velocity Global Rankings, while teammate Evan Brown has also jumped up to No. 50 in the same rankings.

OLE MISS PUNCHES TICKET IN DIFFICULT NORMAN REGIONAL
For the sixth time in program history, the Ole Miss men's golf team punched its ticket to the NCAA Championships following a third-place finish at the Norman Regional (287-281-281–849). This would mark the Rebels first time back to the NCAA Championships as a team since 2017, where the team would ultimately finish 22nd while Braden Thornberry took home the 2017 NCAA Individual National Championship. Senior Jackson Suber led the way for Ole Miss, doing what no Rebel had done before, capturing an individual regional championship. The Tampa, Florida, native fired a final round 67 (-5) to finish 11-under par on the week with a score of 205. Suber's 14-birdie performance on the week saw him soar to the very top of the leaderboard, ultimately claiming the individual title in Norman.

SUBER AND MEEKS CLAIM ALL-SEC NODS
A pair of Rebels came away with All-SEC recognition at the conclusion of the SEC Championship with the conference announcing that Jackson Suber had been named to the First Team All-SEC, while rookie Kye Meeks found his way onto the SEC All-Freshman team. This marks the second consecutive year in which Suber has earned First Team All-SEC honors, as he now stands as just the seventh Ole Miss men's golfer in program history to claim First Team All-Conference honors in back-to-back seasons. Meeks, who concluded the regular season with a stroke average of 72.33, snagged SEC All-Freshman team honors, marking the first Rebel to do so since Suber was named to the All-Freshman team in 2019.

GNAM NAMED TO SEC COMMUNITY SERVICE TEAM
Senior Jack Gnam came away with SEC Community Service team recognition for the second consecutive season, with the Ridgeland, Mississippi, native taking home the same honor in 2021. Gnam currently serves as a member of the Ole Miss Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), which serves to promote student-athlete welfare and foster a positive student-athlete image on campus and in the local area. Additionally, Gnam has been an active member of the Oxford community, volunteering for the Feed the 'Sip, Adopt-A-Basket, Reading with Rebels and A Night to Shine programs. A member of the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll in 2021, Gnam is preparing to earn his degree in accountancy from Ole Miss.
