Rebels Move Up Four More Spots After Strong Race at Wisconsin
NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss women's cross country moved up four spots to No. 18 in the Week Four USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
This is the 44th overall appearance for the Rebel women, who are coming off a strong team finish at the national-caliber Nuttycombe Invitational hosted at Wisconsin on Oct. 13, where Ole Miss beat out 10 ranked teams – including two within the top-10. Senior Ryann Helmers led the way for the Rebel women on a wet and windy day in Madison, finishing 28th overall at a 6K time of 30:31.8.
With the regular season now in the rearview, Ole Miss will take this week off to prepare for the 2023 SEC Cross Country Championships, which will be hosted by South Carolina on Fri., Oct. 27.
