NFL Rebels Update: Week 6

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 31 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.

This past week, cornerback Mike Hilton played a big role in the Bengals 17-13 win over the Seahawks. Along with five tackles, Hilton had a key interception in the third quarter. With the Seahawks driving, Hilton intercepted Seattle's Geno Smith in the red zone. Hilton's interception would prove to be the difference in the Bengals' four point win.

Overall, 16 alumni played for Week 6 of competition. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:

Appeared on 19 snaps for special teams in a win against the Patriots.

#64 Nick Broeker | OG | Houston Texans
Did not see any action in Week 6.

#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Caught seven passes for 131 yards, his fourth straight game with 100+ receiving yards.

#76 Ben Brown | OG/OC | Seattle Seahawks
Did not see any action during Week 6.

#45 Chance Campbell | ILB | Tennessee Titans
Saw the field for the fourth week in a row, playing 19 snaps on special teams.

#21 Zach Evans | RB | Los Angeles Rams
Had four carries for 10 yards in a 26-9 win over the Cardinals.

#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Led the Jaguars with seven receptions for 41 yards in a win against the Colts.

#24 AJ Finley | S | Los Angeles Chargers
Played 16 snaps on special teams, assisting on one tackle.

#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Started at nickel, totaling five tackles and one interception in a win against the Seahawks.

#18 Malik Heath | WR | Green Bay Packers
The Packers were on a bye-week for week 6.

#94 Benito Jones | DT | Detroit Lions
Recorded two tackles and one quarterback pressure in a win at the Buccaneers.

#97 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos
Did not see any action during Week 6 of play.

Competed on 29 snaps for the Bears, recording one tackle on special teams.

Caught three passes for 17 yards in a win against the Giants.

Caught four passes for 69 yards against the Bengals.
