Rebels Suffer First Home Loss of Season

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss (6-6-3, 2-4-2 SEC) suffered their first home loss of the season Thursday night, falling to Alabama (10-3-4, 4-3-1 SEC).

Shu Ohba made six saves in the match but surrendered her first goal since September 21.

The Rebels controlled the ball well for the majority of the first half, taking the first four shots of the match, placing three of them on goal.

The momentum shifted the Crimson Tide's way and they were finally able to break through in the 37th minute when Itala Gemelli struck one just past a diving Ohba.

The Rebels were only able to get off one shot in the second half but did not surrender another goal. Ohba made five saves on seven shots faced in the final 45 minutes.

Ole Miss will head to Fayetteville for a matchup with No. 9 Arkansas Sunday afternoon.
