Rebels Make Quick Turnaround to Baton Rouge for the ITA South Region Championships

CARY, N.C. – Ole Miss women's tennis' time at the ITA All-American Tournament came to an end on Tuesday at Cary Tennis Park.

In the main flight of qualifying, Ole Miss fell in both singles and doubles against some tough opponents. Ludmila Kareisová matched up against No. 71 Annabelle Xu in the first round of qualifying. The junior then played the 57th best player in the nation in a consolation match.

However, Ava and Briana were able grab a win in the consolation bracket. Their opponent was Alabama's Margaux Maquet and Petra Sedlackova in the first round. The Rebels' duo took down their SEC foe by a score of 8-5.

The doubles team was set to go up against another SEC doubles team in Stammel and Stevens from Vanderbilt. Unfortunately, their opponent withdrew from the match.

The Rebels make a quick turnaround to Baton Rouge, La. for the ITA South Region Championships from October 5-9.
