NFL Rebels Update: Week 12

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 31 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.
Green Bay Packer Malik Heath had his best game of his rookie season, catching all four targets to go for 46 yards. Heath recorded a 94.5 offensive PFF grade and led the Packers to a 29-22 win over the Lions.
Overall, 20 alumni played for Week 12 of competition. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:
#34 Brandon Bolden | RB | Las Vegas Raiders
Appeared for 22 snaps on special teams against the Dolphins.
#64 Nick Broeker | OG | Houston Texans
Did not see any action during Week 12.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Caught five passes for 37 yards, bringing in a touchdown in a win over the Chiefs. Moved into top 10 in the NFL in total receptions on the season and is one of four players with 1000+ receiving yards.
#21 Zach Evans | RB | Los Angeles Rams
Appeared for three snaps in the backfield in a close win over the Seahawks.
#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Caught five passes for 49 yards, tying his season-high of 9.8 yards per reception.
#24 AJ Finley | S | Los Angeles Chargers
Did not see the field during Week 12.
#43 DeMarquis Gates | LB | Chicago Bears
Competed on 14 special team snaps in the Bears win over the Vikings.
#98 Marquis Haynes Sr. | OLB | Carolina Panthers
Was fielded for a season high 26 snaps, bringing down one tackle.
