OXFORD, Miss. – As the start of a new season gets underway, head women's basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin never stops preparing for what's to come, announcing the signing of Heloisa Carerra for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday.

"El as we affectionately call her will be another addition to our international connection as she hails from Brazil. She is athletic but skilled and her best basketball is ahead of her. She has experience from playing with her international team and at a reputable High school in IMG academy," said McPhee-McCuin. "We first saw her with her AAU team FGB in Florida and immediately I felt like she would fit in to what we are doing here in Oxford. We are excited about having Heliosa join our family!"
