Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach: Tucker Jones

Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Ole Miss Rebels to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Tucker Jones of Madison, MS.
On one ordinary evening, Brian and Lauren Jones tucked their 18-month-old boy in for bed. By early the next morning, Tucker was undergoing emergency surgery at Children's of Mississippi to remove part of his small intestine. Tucker's intestines had twisted sharply, hindering blood flow and causing tissue damage – a condition known as malrotation. After two surgeries, three nights in the pediatric intensive care unit, and six weeks in the hospital, Tucker was finally able to go home.
Despite a few dietary restrictions and routine visits to Children's of Mississippi, Tucker hasn't skipped a beat. He likes drawing, being outside, going to movies and fishing. He also loves football and baseball!
