Ole Miss Sets SJB Pavilion Student Attendance Record
1/25/2024 | Men's Basketball
OXFORD, Miss. – The spring semester is underway at Ole Miss, and it's clear the Rebel students are glad to be back on campus and back at the SJB Pavilion for SEC play.
Ole Miss set a student attendance record last night as Club Red was overflowing to watch Chris Beard's team dominate Arkansas, 77-51, the program's largest margin of victory against the Razorbacks since a 117-66 game in December of 1973.
The total attendance mark of 8,207 was the third-highest for an Ole Miss men's basketball game this season. Through three home events in SEC play, the SJB Pavilion is averaging more than 8,000 fans per game.Gallery: (1-24-2024) Men's Basketball defeats Arkansas
Ole Miss is off to a 16-3 start overall, including a perfect 12-0 mark at home. Their 11-game win streak in the SJB Pavilion is the longest in the arena's nine-year history.
Beard and Co. will hit the road this weekend for a road test at Texas A&M. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
The Rebels return home next week for back-to-back marquee matchups at the SJB Pavilion. In-state rival Mississippi State will come to town on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. CT, followed by a tilt with No. 6 Auburn on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT.
Single-game tickets are still available for Tuesday's meeting with the Bulldogs at OleMissTix.com.
