The nationally-ranked Ole Miss men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted a celebration to prepare for the upcoming season on Tuesday night in the SJB Pavilion, in their first-ever “Party in the Pavilion.”

After the 50th-annual women’s basketball roster was introduced to all in attendance, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin  took the microphone to speak to the crowd about their 20th-ranked Rebels.

Next up was the 2024-25 men’s basketball team under second-year head coach Chris Beard, who spoke to the fans in attendance leading up to their exhibition on Sunday at 11 a.m. with Illinois.

Two pairs of students were then paired up with John Bol and Cam Brent of the men’s team and Starr Jacobs and Christeen Iwuala of the women’s team. The winning students earned a VIP package for Saturday’s football game against Oklahoma.

A group of students were then brought down to the court for half-court shot contest, where the winner earned free Buffalo Wild Wings for a year.

More games concluded the evening festivities including a three-point contest won by women’s guard KK Deans.
