WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Ole Miss women's golf team capped off the second day of the Landfall Tradition in fourth place, shooting even-par in the second round to bring its total score to 570 (-6).
The Rebels ranked second in the field in par-3 scoring (E) and birdies (39) en route to another successful day at the Country Club of Landfall.
Caitlyn Macnab showed her veteran status as she was the only Rebel to shoot under-par on Saturday. The senior's 18-hole score of 70 (-2) propelled her to go 4-under over the two rounds and earn a share for sixth place heading into the final day of play. Additionally, Macnab currently holds the second most birdies in the field with 12 after making six each round.
After a spotless back-nine, Nicole Gal shot 1-over in the second round to tally a two-day scorecard of 142 (-2). The Oakville, Ontario, native ranks second in the field for par-5 scoring and finds herself in a tie for 11th.
Along with Gal, Filippa Sundquist notched a round-two score of 73 (+1) to bring herself to 1-over on the weekend. The sophomore currently holds a tie for 29th with ambitions to move up the leaderboard and place in the top-25 individually in all four tournaments this fall.
Kajsalotta Svarvar is not far behind Sundquist as she sits 3-over in Wilmington. The freshman will look to bounce back on Sunday and make some moves up the leaderboard, as she currently finds herself tied for 40th.
Rounding out the lineup for the Rebels is Sophie Linder who secured her fourth round this season even or below par. Shooting a perfect 72 after making a par on every hole in the front nine on Saturday, Linder holds a tie for 53rd with a 36-hole score of 149 (+5).
The Rebels will cap off the final day of the Landfall Tradition and the final round of their 2024 fall campaign tomorrow with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT.
