NFL Rebels Update: Week 8

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL.

Sixteen former Rebels saw action in Week 8. Cleveland Browns receiver Elijah Moore set a season-high 85 receiving yards, his second highest in a single game in his career. He also paced the team with eight receptions, helping out in a 29-24 comeback win over the divisional rival Baltimore Ravens. Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram caught his first touchdown of the season on National Tight Ends Day, the 25th of his career.

Did not play in a Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

#11 AJ Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Started at wide receiver, catching five passes for 84 yards in the Eagles 37-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Started at tight end, caught four passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in a 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

#24 AJ Finley | S | Los Angeles Chargers
Played 21 special teams snaps in LA’s 26-8 win over the New Orleans Saints, recording two total tackles on special teams.

#18 Malik Heath | WR | Green Bay Packers
Played seven total snaps in a 30-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Played 31 snaps on defense, recording two solo tackles for loss.

#52 Cedric Johnson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
Was not active for Week 8.

#94 Benito Jones | DT | Miami Dolphins
Started at defensive tackle, recording three total tackles on 44 defensive snaps in a 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

#93 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos
Started at nose tackle, playing 23 defensive snaps and recording one solo tackle in Denver’s 28-14 win over the Carolina Panthers.

#31 Jaylon Jones | CB | Chicago Bears
Played 21 total snaps, recording one solo tackle in Chicago’s 18-15 loss to the Washington Commanders.

#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Recorded two catches for 50 yards in a 31-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Was not active in Week 8.

#15 Jonathan Mingo | WR | Carolina Panthers
Played 41 total snaps in a 28-14 loss to the Denver Broncos.

#8 Elijah Moore | WR | Cleveland Browns
Racked up a season-high 85 yards on a team high eight receptions in a 29-24 win over the Browns’ divisional rival, Baltimore Ravens. Moore’s 85 receiving yards were the second-most in a game in his career.

Was inactive in the Buccaneers Week 8 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

#24 Deantre Prince | CB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Played 28 total snaps, recording one solo tackle in a tightly contested 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
