Women’s Tennis Concludes Fall Campaign in Waco

11/20/2024 | Women's Tennis

WACO, TexasOle Miss women's tennis ended their time at the NCAA Individual Championship on Wednesday in Waco, Texas.

Rebel duo Ludmila Kareisová and Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher competed in the doubles competition, the first duo since Arianne Hartono and Alexa Bortles did so in 2017.

A tight contest from the jump, there was a back-and-forth battle between Ole Miss and UCLA. Kareisová and Leclercq-Ficher took two of the first four games, but UCLA's Olivia Center and Kate Fakih took the lead to secure set one.

After a continuous string of momentum, the Rebels fell short in the round of 32, 6-4,6-2.

This concludes the fall season for the Rebels. Ole Miss will return to the courts in the spring.

Doubles:
Olivia Center and Kate Fakih, (UCLA) 6-4, 6-2 def. Ludmila Kareisová and Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher (Ole Miss)
