NFL Rebels Update: Week 9

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL.

Eighteen former Rebels saw action in Week 8. Baltimore Ravens edge rusher Tavius Robinson had a monster game, recording his first career multi-sack game. In addition to his two solo sacks, he also registered four quarterback hits and one pass defended, playing a key role in the Ravens 41-10 win over the Denver Broncos. After the game, Ravens coach John Harbaugh awarded Robinson a game ball for his performance. 

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton made plays all over the field on Sunday, leading the Bengals with six solo tackles. His PFF grades for defense, rushing defense and tackling all ranked in the top five among cornerbacks this week, with his rushing defense grade ranking top in the NFL in Week 9. His PFF coverage grade was also stellar, ranking No. 6. Hilton played a large part in the Bengals 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

#64 Nick Broeker | OT | Houston Texans
Recorded six snaps on special teams in Week 9.


#11 AJ Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Started at wide receiver, catching two passes for 36 yards in a 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.


#77 Ben Brown | OL | New England Patriots
Started at center, playing all 69 offensive snaps in a 20-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans.


#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Started at tight end and caught five passes for 45 yards in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.


#24 AJ Finley | S | Los Angeles Chargers 
Played 28 total snaps in the 27-10 win over the Cleveland Browns, recording one solo tackle on defense and assisting on another on special teams.


#18 Malik Heath | WR | Green Bay Packers
Was not active in a 24-14 loss to the Detroit Lions.


#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Recorded eight total tackles and led the team with six solos in a win over the Las Vegas Raiders. One of his tackles was for loss, and his 89.9 PFF grade ranked third among all cornerbacks in Week 9. His 87.1 grade on run defense ranked first in the league.


#52 Cedric Johnson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
Played 17 total snaps in a 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.


#94 Benito Jones | DT | Miami Dolphins
Started at defensive tackle, playing 40 total snaps in a 30-27 loss to the Buffalo Bills.


#93 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos 
Started at nose tackle, recording three total tackles and two solos on 24 defensive snaps.
 

#31 Jaylon Jones | CB | Chicago Bears 
Played 16 snaps on special teams in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals.


#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Started at tight end, recording one catch for five yards in a 30-27 win over the Miami Dolphins.
 

#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks 
Was not active in Week 9.
 

Jonathan Mingo | WR | Dallas Cowboys (Traded from CAR Nov. 5, 2024)
With the Panthers, played 24 total snaps in the 23-22 win over the New Orleans Saints.


#8 Elijah Moore | WR | Cleveland Browns
Recorded three catches for 28 yards in a 27-10 loss to the Chargers.


#70 Royce Newman | OL | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Was inactive in the Buccaneers Week 9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.


#24 Deantre Prince | CB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Played three snaps on special teams in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.


#41 Otis Reese IV | LB | Tennessee Titans
Played 18 special teams snaps in Tennessee’s Week 9 win over the New England Patriots.


#93 Mark Robinson | LB | Pittsburgh Steelers
Had a bye in Week 9.


#95 Tavius Robinson | OLB | Baltimore Ravens
Recorded three total tackles, racking two sacks and one tackle for loss. Also registered four quarterback hits and one pass defended in a 41-10 win over the Denver Broncos.

#78 Laremy Tunsil | OT | Houston Texans
Started at left tackle, playing 79 total snaps on Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets. His 86.7 PFF run blocking grade was second-highest among all tackles in Week 9.


#88 Kenny Yeboah | TE | New York Jets
Saw his first action of the year after returning from injured reserve, recording one catch for 12 yards and one tackle on special teams in a 21-13 win over the Houston Texans.
