12/12/2024 | Football
OXFORD, Miss. – The schedule is set for the 2025 Ole Miss football season as the SEC unveiled its slate for next year on Wednesday night.
The schedule looks similar but different for Lane Kiffin's Rebels, as Ole Miss retains the same SEC opponents, flipping only locations for its conference slate. Additionally, Ole Miss will play all four of its non-conference games at home, giving Rebel fans eight chances to see the squad at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium next season.

Aug 30 – Georgia State
Ole Miss opens at home with a tricky opponent in Georgia State. The Panthers went 3-9 this season, but their three wins included a victory over Vanderbilt, as well as another bowl team in Texas State. It will be the first meeting between the programs.
Sept. 13 – Arkansas
The SEC home opener will come quick, as Ole Miss fans will have to wait just three weeks into the 2025 campaign to see SEC football at The Vaught. The Rebels will look to replicate a 63-31 dismantling of the Hogs earlier this year. It will be the the 70th meeting between the squads, and Ole Miss will be looking for a third consecutive win in the rivalry for the first time since winning four straight from 1990-93.
Sept. 20 – Tulane
One of Ole Miss' oldest and most-played rivalries returns to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as the Rebels take on Tulane for the third time in the past five years. Tulane last visited Oxford in 2021 and left with a 61-21 defeat. Then in 2023, the Rebels went to New Orleans and topped No. 22 Tulane, 37-20, to improve to 43-28-0 in the all-time series. This will be the 72nd meeting in a series that began in 1893.
Sept. 27 – LSU
Ole Miss will look to exact revenge for an upset loss at LSU in 2024 when the Tigers come to Oxford on Sept 27. It will be the 114th meeting all-time between the schools, LSU holding a 66-42-4 lead historically. LSU finished the 2024 regular season at 8-4 and will cap its year in the Kinder's Texas Bowl against Baylor.
Oct. 11 – Washington State
A late addition to the 2025 Ole Miss football schedule, Washington State will come to Oxford for the first time in the first-ever meeting between the programs. The Cougars finished the 2024 regular season with an 8-4 record and are set for the DirecTV Holiday Bowl against Syracuse.
Nov. 1 – South Carolina
Ole Miss will host South Carolina after topping the Gamecocks 28-3 in Columbia earlier this season, a game that proved to have serious College Football Playoff implications. South Carolina closed the regular season on a six-game winning streak to finish at 9-3 overall and 5-3 in SEC play, just one spot behind the Rebels at No. 15 in the CFP rankings. South Carolina will take on No. 21 Illinois in the Cheez-Its Citrus Bowl to close the year. Next year's matchup will be the 19th meeting between the programs, and Ole Miss will look to extend its 10-8 lead all-time.
Nov. 8 – The Citadel
In its final non-conference game, Ole Miss will host The Citadel for the second time ever and the first time since 2005. The first meeting was a 27-7 win for the Rebels amid a 3-8 campaign. The Bulldogs finished 5-7 this season, including a 51-14 loss to their only FBS opponent, Clemson. The Bulldogs and Rebels had one common foe in Furman. The Citadel lost its matchup with the Paladins, 17-16, while Ole Miss won 76-0.
Nov. 15 – Florida
Ole Miss will look for payback when it hosts Florida for its final home game of 2025. The Gators spoiled the Rebels' CFP hopes in a 24-17 win in Gainesville earlier this season. Florida finished the 2025 regular season on a three-game win streak and will take on Tulane on Dec. 20 in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl. This will be the 27th meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Florida. The Gators broke a deadlock with the 2024 win to take a 13-12-2 lead all-time.
