Sasha Ratliff Breaks Volleyball’s All-Eras Blocks Record

OMAHA, Neb. – In the midst of her second NCAA Tournament appearance, Sasha Ratliff completed the final crown jewel of her historic career, passing Genevieve Shy to become the Ole Miss volleyball program’s all-eras block leader.

Ratliff entered the day needing five blocks, reaching the milestone in the second set against No. 21 and seventh-seeded Florida State.
The senior from Atlanta, Georgia broke a 28-year-old all-time record held by Shy, who competed from 1993 to 1996, tallying 502 blocks.
Ratliff will end her career as the program’s all eras block leader, as well as the rally scoring leader for solo blocks, block assists and total blocks, while ranking ninth all-time in kills.
