Rifle Great Ali Weisz Named to the 2024 SEC Women’s Legend Class

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss rifle great Ali Weisz has been honored as one of 14 student-athletes and coaches to be recognized at the 2024 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in March, from Greenville, S.C.
 
The women's legends program began in 2001 with classes chosen every year with the exception of 2021 and 2022.
 
The class will be honored at the 2024 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, March 6-10 in Greenville, S.C.  Each legend will be recognized during half-time of their teams first game of the tournament, as well as a group introduction at halftime of the second semifinal game on Saturday.  
 
Weisz competed for the Rebels from 2013-17 and in her time in Oxford, was named a two-time All-American. The four-time NCAA Championship Individual Qualifier placed third in air rifle at the NCAA Rifle Championships during her junior season.
 
A member of the USA National Rifle Team and a two-time USA Shooting National Champion, Weisz competed in women's air rifle and air rifle mixed teams at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Belgrade, Montana, native accumulated three gold medals, five silver medals and four bronze medals.
 
The 2022 Air Rifle World Champion has already qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic games after breaking a world record in air rifle qualifying.
 
Weisz graduated from Ole Miss with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in May of 2017 and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Memphis in December of 2020. She enlisted in active duty in May of 2020 and was assigned to the USAMU International Team as a shooter and instructor.
