Women’s Golf Battles Through Inclement Weather at Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Ole Miss women's golf fought through the elements on Monday at the Moon Golf Invitational, as the Rebels carded a second round score of 303 (+15) to cap off day two at the Suntree Country Club.
Tallying a two-day score of 590 (+14), the Rebels sit tied for seventh place heading into the final day of tournament play.
ANNIKA Award fall watch list finalist, Caitlyn Macnab, led the way for the Rebels on Monday as she strung together a score of 73 (+1) to cap off round two. Shooting an even par over the first two rounds, the Johannesburg, South Africa, native moves up into a tie for 10th place while also ranking second in par-3 scoring (-1).
Natacha Host Husted saw success over the front nine as she shot par in eight of those holes to log a second round score of 76 (+4). The junior will now enter tomorrow's final day of action tied for 31st after racking up a team-high 27 pars over two days.
Despite a slow start and a delay due to rain, Andrea Lignell made a late move up the leaderboard going even par over her back nine holes to finish with a round score of 79 (+7). The senior will now enter the third round tied for 36th with an overall total score of 149 (+5).
Justine Fournand follows close behind heading into day three after matching her round one score of 75 (+3). The Erstein, France, native is now tied for 47th with a total scorecard of 150 (+6) to cap off her second round in Florida.
Rounding out the lineup for the Rebels is Sophie Linder who posted a score of 79 (+7). The freshman now holds a two-round score of 153 (+9) and sits in a tie for 68th place.
Ole Miss will cap off the team's trip to Florida tomorrow morning with the final round of the Moon Golf invitational at the Suntree Country Club. The Rebels are set to tee off for their final 18 holes with an 8 a.m. CT shotgun start.
