MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Ole Miss women's golf team capped off its time at the Moon Golf Invitational on Tuesday, as the Rebels ultimately finished 10th after shooting a three-round score of 289 (+1).
Despite facing multiple inclement weather delays, the Rebels racked up 34 birdies and 182 pars to help log a total overall score of 879 (+15) on the week.
Caitlyn Macnab led the way for the Rebel lineup shooting an even par on her final round of play to round out her overall score to a 216 (E). With a tie for 12th place, the junior has now placed in the top 20 of all six tournaments the Rebels have participated in this season.
The Johannesburg, South Africa, native tallied 11 birdies which ranked third most in the field, along with 33 pars across her three rounds of action. Macnab's final day also marked her 14th round even or below par as a Rebel.
Natacha Host Husted saved her best round for last as she shot 2-under on Tuesday to climb her way into the top 20 on the individual leaderboard. The junior's tie for 20th placing marks her third top 20 finish this season and the 11th in her career.
Compiling an overall total scorecard of 218 (+2) across three rounds, Husted ranked second in the field for most pars, stringing together 41 over the weekend.
Andrea Lignell's round of 75 (+3) would ultimately see her in a tie for 51st with the senior chalking up three pars on the final day to help finish with the third highest number of birdies over the weekend at 11. The Gothenburg, Sweden, native ended her week with a 224 (+8) overall scorecard.
Freshman, Sophie Linder, tallied her sixth career round at par below with an even par third round to cap off the Rebel's visit to Florida. Putting together a 225 (+9) three-round score, and shooting the second-most pars in the field with Husted at 41, Linder ultimately finished tied for 59th.
Justine Fournand rounded out play for the Rebels with a round score of 76 (+4). The senior ended her week tied for 62nd after shooting a 226 (+10) across the three days.
The Rebels will now return to Oxford for a short break before hitting the road once again to travel to Gainesville, Florida, for the annual Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course. The tournament is set to run March 2-3 and marks the fourth consecutive season in which Ole Miss will take part in the event.
