Men’s Tennis Travels to New Orleans for Doubleheader

NEW ORLEANS - Ole Miss men's tennis (4-3, 0-0 SEC) is set to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana for a double-header against Tulane on Feb. 23 and New Orleans on Feb. 25.
The Rebels will open play on Friday at 1 p.m. CT against the Tulane Green Wave (0-6, 0-0 AAC) who is searching for their first victory of the season. Ole Miss will then face New Orleans (2-2, 0-0 SLC) on Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
Live scoring for the Tulane matchup will be available to the public and can be found above as well as on the Ole Miss men's tennis schedule page. New Orleans will not have live stating and both matches will not be live streaming.
Doubles Dominance
The Rebels continue to showcase an impressive start in each of their matches, earning the doubles point in all of Ole Miss' first seven matches of the spring season. The doubles success is led by the duo of John Hallquist Lithen and Carson Baker who have gone undefeated in every matchup, currently holding a 7-0 record as a pair.
Down Goes No. 38
Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt have been on a tear for the Rebels in the No. 1 doubles position, including securing a 6-3 victory over the 38th-ranked Memphis tandem of Pablo Alemany and Charlie Barry. This match was a key win against the Tigers and assisted the Rebels in securing the doubles point once again. Along with an overall record of 15-5 in 2023-24, the senior duo has yet to drop a dual doubles matchup this season, going 5-0.
Team Profile: Tulane
The Tulane Green Wave enter the weekend 0-6 after a season start that saw five out of the six teams they've played ranked in the ITA top 65. The Green Wave are led by senior Alex Bancila who was on a two-match win streak after a singles win against North Carolina-Wilmington in a three set comeback. Bancila was also a bright spot in the Green Wave's matchup against LSU as he was the only player to win their singles match.
Team Profile: New Orleans
The New Orleans Privateers enter their contest with the Rebels 2-2, after a 2-5 loss to Southern Mississippi. The Privateers are led by international senior Luke Joujan who is 2-2 on the season from court two in singles. Joujan was also a vital contributer in their loss to Southern Miss, tallying one of the Privateers two wins on the day in singles.
