Women’s Tennis Set to Host No. 18 Auburn and No. 21 Alabama

OXFORD, Miss.—The Rebels prepare to face two top-25 opponents this weekend back at their home court. Ole Miss will take on the Auburn Tigers on Friday, March 22, at 3 p.m. and the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m.

THE REBELS
Briana Crowley (Sr.) – Westfield, Ind.
- Ranked No. 64 alongside Ava Hraster in doubles
- Started the season 7-1 in dual-singles, 1-0 in SEC
- Joins the Rebels after three seasons at Northwestern

Andrea Nova (Fr.) – Prague, Czechia
- Third straight Rebel freshman to win doubles and singles in her first match
- Joined by Mize, clinched doubles point in both opening weekend matches

Reka Zadori (Sr.) – Szeged, Hungary
- Sits in 30th place on the Ole Miss all-time career singles wins list with 56
- Has a 57-44 career singles record and a 28-22 career doubles record
- Her 9-3 record at No. 6 singles was the best in the SEC in 2023

OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE NET
Auburn
A dynamic roster, the Tigers roster contains multiple ranked players. Fifth-year Carolyn Ansari leads the pack, ranking No. 18 in singles, posing an 8-5 dual singles record. No.62 DJ Bennett dances around the middle of the lineup, with more of a consistent stand in the third position. She and Ariana Arseneault are ranked ninth in doubles, with a strong 6-1 record on court one.
Alabama
The Crimson Tide brings in a variety of players up to the net. Sitting in the number one slot for singles, No. 46 Loudmilla Bencheikh is 4-2 in dual singles. She and partner Anne Marie Hiser are ranked seventh in doubles after sporting a 3-1 record as doubles one. Sophomore Klara Milicevic is an asset for the Tide at the back of the pack, with a 4-0 record at court six.

CLIMBING THE RANKINGS
After defeating No. 34 LSU for Ole Miss's first-ranked victory of the season, Ole Miss shot up the rankings, taking the Tigers' spot at No. 34 from No. 42. Then took a match over No. 64 Kentucky to move up to No. 33. It marks the Rebels' highest ranking since May 26, 2021, when the team was ranked 28th in the nation.
In the current standings, the Rebels have competed against eight top-75 teams. The Rebels are 2-2 in ranked matchups this season.
HIGH FIVE
Ole Miss has five players with 10 or more overall singles wins on the season. Krzyzak leads the Rebels with 13. Crowley, Hrastar, Kette, and Nova each have 11 of their own. Zadori needs one more win in singles to add to the team's total.
Four Rebels have accumulated 10 or more doubles wins. Hrastar, Crowley, Kareisova, and Devier all have 12.
DEVIER OXFORD DEBUT
A long wait came to an end as Lucie Devier played in front of the Oxford crowd at Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center for the first time. The senior's opportunity came against the Eastern Illinois Panther, teaming up with fellow France native Leclercq-Ficher in doubles. At the No. 1 doubles position, Devier and Leclercq Ficher cruised to a 6-1 victory.
SOPHOMORE CAMPAIGN
Kette is off to a great start after a 12-7 freshman campaign in dual singles matches. The Germany native is 7-1 after adding another win over No. 30 Vanderbilt, resulting from a first-set tiebreaker of 7-6 (7-5) and a 6-2 second set.
