Men’s Basketball Falls to Texas A&M

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale against Texas A&M 86-60 on Saturday in the SJB Pavilion.
The Rebels (20-11, 7-11 SEC) began the game down early due to hot shooting from the visitors. Trailing by double digits, Jaylen Murray cut the deficit to seven on a three-pointer to make it 27-20 with 6:43 before the half. After getting within six on a pair of free throws from Jaemyn Brakefield, Texas A&M (18-13, 9-9 SEC) would lead 42-29 at the half. Ole Miss was unable to climb back in the second period.
The Rebels were led by Jaylen Murray with 21 points, who connected on a trio of three pointers. With 10 points, Brakefield became the 43rd member of the 1,000-career point club at Ole Miss.
Manny Obaseki led the Aggies with 25 points, while Tyrece Radford and Wade Taylor IV each scored 19.
Ole Miss now turns their attention to the SEC Tournament, which begins on March 13 in Nashville, Tenn. at Bridgestone Arena. The Rebels will have to await the remainder of Saturday's game to finish in order to determine their opponent.
