Reka Zadori Selected to SEC Community Service Team
4/11/2024 | Women's Tennis
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced their selections for the 2024 Community Service Team for women's tennis on Thursday, recognizing Ole Miss senior Reka Zadori for her efforts off the court.
She is involved in multiple different groups across Oxford, including the Oxford Park Commission (National Girls & Women in Sports Day Event) where athletes have a meet-and-greet as well as a game night for local girls within the community.
During the holidays, she participates in packing food baskets for families in need. Adopt-A-Basket roughly produces over 100 Holiday Food baskets with 1,300 items that are collected. Zadori also spends time with the Stronger Together Initiative, Feed the Sip, to pack non-perishable food items for local schools to help children who may need an extra boost during the week or long weekends.
Women's Tennis also visited their local elementary schools to greet children from their car lines in the morning along the bus lines. Zadori also assisted with the collection of over 500 hygiene products during their travel for road competition, which were donated to the Ole Miss campus violence and prevention offices.
Zadori is also involved with the Books and Bears organization, which supports the facilities workers who keep the campus looking its best. During the fall semester, she participated in Halloween's Trunk or Treat community event where children are welcomed to play games while trunk or treating to different vehicles to collect candy.
