Women’s Golf Finishes Day Two at SEC Championship

BELLEAIR, Fla. – The Ole Miss women's golf team capped off their second day of action at the 2024 SEC Championship on Saturday, settling into 13th place at 29-over par on the week.
A day in which all 14 teams in attendance shot rounds over par at the Pelican Golf Club, the Rebels were not able to find any momentum, shooting a second-round score of 303 (+23).
The Rebels will need to complete a comeback during tomorrow's third and final round if they want to be one of the top eight teams on the leaderboard who will advance to match play.
Natacha Host Husted continues to lead the charge for the Rebels in Florida, as her round of 76 (+6) has her sitting in a tie for 24th with a two-day score of 144 (+4).
After a slow front nine, Caitlyn Macnab finished strong by going spotless in her final nine holes as the junior also shot a round score of 76 (+6) to bring her to a two-day score of 146 (+6) and a share of 32nd place.
The freshman, Sophie Linder, claimed the best round of the day for the Rebels stringing together a score of 74 (+4). The Carthage, Tennessee, native now holds an overall score of 147 (+7) to see her tied for 38th.
Andrea Lignell and Justine Fournand rounded out the lineup for the Rebels with Lignell logging a second-round score of 77 (+7) while Fournand tallied a 78 (+8) on the day. Both seniors are currently tied for 60th, with a two-day scorecard of 153 (+13).
Ole Miss will cap off the final round of stroke play tomorrow morning as the Rebels are set to tee off in Belleair starting at 8:40 a.m. CT.
