Women’s Tennis Set for 2024 SEC Championship

ATHENS, Ga.— Ole Miss women's tennis will head to Athens, Georgia, to face off against the Vanderbilt Commodores in the first round of the 2024 SEC Women's Tennis Championship, Thursday, Apr. 18 at 11 a.m. CT.  

The public can access live scoring and live streaming, which is available for both matches. Links to both can be found above and on the Ole Miss women's tennis schedule page.   

THE REBELS  
Briana Crowley (Sr.) – Westfield, Ind.                                          
- Grabbed first ranked singles win of the season, defeating Florida's No. 109 Qavia Lopez  

- Dual singles record of 9-9 on the season 
- Joined the Rebels after three seasons at Northwestern   
- Compiled a career singles record of 46-36 and doubles record of 58-42   
- Former Blue Chip five-star recruit   

Lucie Devier (Sr.) – Etrechy, France   
- Grabbed 10th doubles win as a Rebel against No. 30 Vanderbilt 
- Earned first singles win as a Rebel at the Roberta Alison Invitational   
- Returns to Ole Miss after missing all last season   
- Transferred from North Texas in 2022   

Ava Hrastar (Sr.) – Duluth, Ga.   
- Earned first ranked singles win of the season, defeating Alabama's No. 46 Bencheikh 
- Two-time NCAA Doubles Championship qualifier   
- 2022 All-American and All-ACC Third Team honors   

- Transferred to Ole Miss following three seasons at Georgia Tech  
- Former five-star recruit, ranked 1st out of Georgia and 18th nationally   

Ludmila Kareisová (Jr.) – Liberec, Czechia  

- Leads team with 14 total doubles victories (14-10 record)  

- Compiled 8-6 doubles record in the conference at the second position  
- Grabbed first ranked singles win of the season, defeating No. 104 Sedlackova against Alabama 
- 2023 NCAA Singles Championships qualifier   
- Named 2023 All-SEC Second Team   

Emma Kette (So.) – Rammelsbach, Germany   
- Registered an 17-10 in dual singles and 8-4 in conference 
- Finished 2023 with a 12-10 singles record and 11-9 doubles record   
- Needs one more singles victory to achieve 30 in her career 

-Two overall doubles wins away from 20 in her career 

Rachel Krzyzak (Jr.) – Milton, Ontario, Canada   
- Leads team with 17 total singles victories (17-9 record) 

- Tied for 46th in career-high singles with 42 wins in program history 
- Career singles record of 41-36 and doubles record of 24-35   

Anaelle Leclercq-Ficher (Jr.) – La Perche, France   
- Tallied a 7-5 conference singles record and 7-4 doubles so far 
- Clinched the win over No. 34 LSU, first Ole Miss ranked victory of the year 
- Compiled 24 career singles wins and 34 career doubles victories   

Kelsey Mize (Sr.) – Tulsa, Okla.   

- Earned tenth doubles win of the season against Purdue   
- Accomplished 50 doubles wins and is top 30 in program history   

Andrea Nova (Fr.) – Prague, Czechia   
- Third straight Rebel freshman to win doubles and singles in her first match   
- Joined by Mize, clinched doubles point in both opening weekend matches   
- Came to Ole Miss ranked as high as No. 298 in the ITF Junior Rankings   

Reka Zadori (Sr.) – Szeged, Hungary   
- Sits in 30th place on the Ole Miss all-time career singles wins list with 56   
- Has a 58-44 career singles record and a 29-22 career doubles record   
- Two singles wins away from 60 and one doubles win from 30 in her career 

 LAST TIME ON THE COURT   
- Hrastar and Anaelle won 6-1 on court one against Missouri 
- Emma defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-3 versus Missouri 

- Hrastar won 7-5, 6-3 in the second slot against No. 46 Arkansas 

 HEAD COACH MARK BEYERS   
- Beyers is in his 23rd year coaching the Ole Miss women's tennis team   
- He has compiled a 293-251 record with Ole Miss and a 343-259 career record   
- Earned ITA South Region Coach of the Year in 2010, 2012, and 2018   
- Led the team to seven NCAA Second Round appearances and one Sweet 16 appearance   
- Coached the only Ole Miss NCAA Singles Champion, Arianne Hartono, eight All-Americans and 36 All-SEC players   

OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE NET   
The Commodores are heading into the SEC Championship as the 7th seed, ending their regular season with an overall record of 11-9. Vanderbilt's leader of the pack, Celia-Belle Mohr compiled a 12-3 dual singles record sitting in the first position for singles. Senior Holly Staff puts up strong momentum for the back half of the lineup, dancing between 5-0 in the fourth position and 7-6 in the fifth. For doubles, the Commodores pairing of Anessa Lee and Celia-Belle Mohr registered a regular season 10-5 dual doubles record at the first court.

ON A MISSION 
Ole Miss and Vanderbilt faced off early in the regular season, but losing 4-3 in Nashville. The Rebels started off the match securing the doubles point. Leclercq-Ficher was on a third set hot streak, forcing her third of the season at Vanderbilt, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3. The Commodores responded with a pair of singles wins of their own, while Kette defeated her opponent in the fifth position, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. The match came down to one final court, where ultimately Vanderbilt took the victory. 

REKA NAMED TO SEC COMMUNITY SERVICE TEAM 

Senior Reka Zadori is one of fourteen student-athletes named to the 2024 SEC Community Service Team.  

The SEC Community Service Team is a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments student-athletes perform off the court in their surrounding communities. Zadori throughout her time as a Rebel has continuously shown appreciation in her volunteerism through multiple different groups. Oxford Park Commission (National Girls & Women's in Sports Day Event) where athletes have a meet and greet as well as a game night for local girls within the community. She also is involved with the Books and Bears organization. This event is held to show support to the facilities workers who keep the campus looking its best. Reka is one of the volunteers who is responsible for collecting books and bears for its annual collection.  

BOTTOMS UP 
The fourth to sixth position is a combined 33-19 for the Rebels in dual singles. The sophomore Kette leads the way with an 13-4 record, primarily at the fifth and sixth positions. In the fourth position, Leclercq-Ficher going 5-3 and Krzyzak going 9-5 has helped the Ole Miss to their 10 wins. Five different Rebels have contributed to the 12-6 record at No. 6 singles. 

STRONG SOPHOMORE CAMPAIGN   
Kette has seen no sophomore slump as the Rammelsbach, Germany native has surpassed her marks from her first year in Oxford. Kette ended the regular season with an impressive 17-10 overall record. She has also done it in dominant fashion, recording a 13-4 record in dual singles matches and a 8-4 record in the SEC, mainly from the fifth and sixth positions (7-2 at No. 5).
