Kiffin Continues to Build Elite Coaching Staff at Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – Lane Kiffin has called this 2024 team the most talented roster he has had while leading the Ole Miss football program, and the same can be said for his coaching and support staff, which now boasts former SEC and NFL head coaches with the addition of Joe Judge to a tremendous team of analysts.
Judge officially joined the staff this week and brings an incredible resume to Oxford, highlighted by two seasons as the head coach of the New York Giants. Judge's coaching career includes stops at Mississippi State and Alabama at the collegiate level. Judge was a special teams assistant for the Crimson Tide during their national title runs in 2009 and 2011.
"We are excited about the addition of Joe Judge to our staff," Kiffin said. "Joe brings a tremendous amount of experience that will provide a significant impact to both our coaching staff and our players. We are excited about the contributions he will make to our team."
After learning under Nick Saban, Judge joined the professional ranks under another coaching legend in Bill Belichick. Judge began with the New England Patriots as a special teams assistant, eventually becoming the special teams coordinator and receivers coach before earning the head coaching job for the New York Giants.
After two seasons in New York, Judge returned to the Patriots, serving as an offensive assistant, quarterbacks coach and assistant head coach over the past two seasons.
The hiring of Judge comes just a couple of weeks after Kiffin added another marquee name to his analyst pool: former Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett. A rising star in the football coaching profession, Arnett was the defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs from 2020-22, leading a group that ranked in the top five in the SEC in total defense, rushing defense and takeaways in all three of his seasons at the helm.
After coaching four NFL Draft picks, including first-round selection Emmanuel Forbes, as the defensive coordinator, Arnett became the head coach for the Bulldogs at the young age of 36 and spent a season in that role.
