Jaxson Dart
There will be no shortage of big-name quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft, including Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Georgia's Carson Beck, Texas' Quinn Ewers, and of course, Rebel QB Jaxson Dart. DraftKings Sportsbook gives Dart the sixth-best odds (+1200) to be the No. 1 overall draft pick.
Dart was tabbed as one of the 10 QBs to Know by Pro Football Focus, the No. 16 pick by RotoBaller and the No. 20 pick by Barstool Sports.
Tre Harris
One of two Rebel receivers listed as potential first-round picks, Tre Harris was projected as the No. 29 pick by 247Sports and the No. 30 pick to the Baltimore Ravens in PFF's Way-Too-Early 2025 mock. From PFF:
"Baltimore smartly added Devontez Walker in this year's draft, but Tre Harris gives them a potentially dominant perimeter weapon. He posted the sixth-best receiving grade in college football last season and finished 10th in yards per route run. He has shown that he can be the best player on the field and would add a vertical element to Baltimore's offense."
Antwane Wells Jr.
Having just joined Ole Miss from South Carolina in the offseason, Antwane Wells Jr. is yet to show off his skills in Lane Kiffin's offense, but already Walter Football sees what could be in 2024, projecting him as the No. 27 pick to the Detroit Lions.
"The Lions may have been interested in a receiver had Terrion Arnold fallen to them in the 2024 NFL Draft. Antwane Wells barely played this past season, but has some potential."
Princely Umanmielen
Princely Umanmielen is one of Ole Miss' most highly touted transfers, and could be one of the NFL's most highly touted incoming rookies next year. His highest projection is No. 16 to the Jacksonville Jaguars by Fox Sports. Walter Football tabbed him at No. 28 to the Buffalo Bills. NBC Sports projected him as the No. 30 pick to the Baltimore Ravens. From NBC:
"An older prospect for the 2025 first-round group (will have just turned 23), Umanmielen (6-5, 254 pounds) enters his fifth season and is coming off three straight years with 83rd%+ pass rush grades. In 2023 he posted 45 pressures and an 89th% pass rush grade and enters the season as one of the most-accomplished edge defenders in the SEC."
Walter Nolen
Walter Nolen wins the award for the most early mock draft projections, as well as the highest slot, predicted as the No. 7 overall pick to the Minnesota Vikings by the Associated Press.
"This should be a top-notch class of defensive tackles and the former five-star recruit could be the best of the bunch," wrote Ralph Russo of the AP.
Nolen was tabbed No. 13 by Walter Football, No. 14 by Barstool, No. 15 by 247Sports, No. 23 to the Green Bay Packers by The Athletic, No. 31 by NBC and No. 32 to the San Francisco 49ers by ESPN.
"Nolen is a flash player who transferred to Ole Miss from Texas A&M after four sacks last season. He should have more opportunities to create disruption with the Rebels, which could make him a great pick for the 49ers, who could use reinforcements along their front seven. Part of San Francisco's identity is being strong and deep in the trenches," wrote ESPN's Jordan Reid.
