Women’s Track & Field No. 9 in Week Nine USTFCCCA Outdoor Index

5/21/2024 | Track and Field

NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss women's track & field held at No. 9 in the Week Nine USTFCCCA Rating Index released on Tuesday. Only marks accepted into the upcoming NCAA regional meets were included in this week's index.

In its history outdoors, Ole Miss has now cracked the national top-10 a total of 15 times: 12 times by the Rebel women (all under ninth-year head coach Connie Price-Smith), and three times for the Rebel men. Five of those 15 total top-10 rankings have come this outdoor season, four by the Rebel women – the highest being a program-record No. 5 slot in Week Two.

Overall, this is the 57th appearance in the outdoor national top-25 for the Rebel women since their first appearance in 2008. Of the 127 combined outdoor rankings in Ole Miss history, Price-Smith owns 68 total appearances (48 women, 20 men) since first arriving in Oxford for the 2015-16 season.

Action begins tomorrow for the Rebels at the 2024 NCAA East Regional, held this season at the University of Kentucky from May 22-25.
