2024 Ole Miss Football: 100 Days Until Kickoff
5/23/2024 | Football
OXFORD, Miss. – The anticipation is growing around the Ole Miss football team ahead of the 2024 college football season, and Rebel fans have to wait just 100 more days until they can watch Lane Kiffin's squad at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The countdown is on until the Rebels host Furman for the 2024 season opener on August 31. Kick time is yet to be announced.
After finishing the 2023 season as Peach Bowl Champions with a program-best 11-2 record, Ole Miss is being mentioned alongside the top teams in the country as College Football Playoff contenders for the coming campaign.
"For some teams, like Ole Miss and Georgia, pointing out a 'concern' felt like nitpicking due to a lack of glaring weakness," wrote 247Sports' Grant Hughes in an article outlining each Top 25 team's top concerns exiting spring ball.
In the coming 100 days, Ole Miss is likely to land in the top 10 or higher of every preseason poll, and numerous Rebels will be named to preseason All-American teams and awards watch lists.
