Prieskorn, Wright SEC’s Top Graded Tight End Duo

5/30/2024 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss football has the best returning tight end duo in the Southeastern Conference according to Pro Football Focus grades as both Caden Prieskorn and Dae'Quan Wright landed as one of the top 10 TEs coming back for the 2024 season.

Ole Miss is the only team with two TEs who graded 70.0 or higher last season. Oklahoma is the only other school with two players on the list. Wright, a transfer from Virginia Tech, led the way for the Rebels at No. 4 with a 72.7 grade. Prieskorn was not far behind at No. 7 and 70.5.

PFF also ranked Prieskorn the No. 7 returning tight end in the nation and second in the SEC behind Georgia's Benjamin Yurosek, who transferred in from Stanford.

Prieskorn transferred in from Memphis last season and, despite missing time due to injury, racked up 449 receiving yards and four touchdowns in just 10 games played, including 10 catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl to earn Offensive MVP honors.

Wright played in 12 games and made seven starts for Virginia Tech as a sophomore last season, tallying 336 yards on 28 receptions—both good for third on the team.
