PINEHURST, N.C. – As the last entry in the 2024 U.S. Open after earning a spot as an alternate on Monday, Ole Miss men's golf alum Jackson Suber has made plenty of noise from Pinehurst, N.C., sneaking in under the cut in a PGA Tour event for the first time in his career after the first two rounds, sitting +2 over and tied for 27th.
Playing in his third career PGA Tour event, Suber cracks the cut for the first time in his career. The 2018-22 Rebel has been playing on the Korn Ferry Tour since turning pro and currently ranks 44th. In his two seasons on the Korn Ferry Tour, he has made the cut 21 times in 33 events and has earned six top-10 finishes.
As a Rebel, Suber went on to become a two-time PING All-American as well as tallying the second-highest season stroke average in program history at 69.77. Suber led the Rebels in Ole Miss' second-best team finish in program history at the 2022 NCAA Championships with a 14th place finish and snagged 12 top-five finishes throughout his collegiate career.
Suber looks to continue his time in Pinehurst, teeing off for Round Three of the 2024 U.S. Open on Saturday morning.
