Volleyball’s Ratliff Recognized to Preseason All-SEC Team

7/10/2024 | Volleyball

OXFORD, Miss.  – Ole Miss volleyball's senior middle blocker and two-time All-SEC team honoree Sasha Ratliff has been tabbed to the 2024 Preseason All-SEC Team, the conference announced Wednesday morning.

It marks the third straight season that Ratliff has earned preseason praise from the SEC, as she is one of eighteen student-athletes to collect the conference honor.

In Ratliff's fourth season as a Rebel, she established herself as one of the top middle blockers in the conference, recording over 100 blocks for the third consecutive season. The Atlanta, Georgia, native capped off her 2023 campaign by securing 104 total blocks, moving her into second all-time at Ole Miss with 395 in her career, sitting just 40 away from the top spot.

The senior proved to be an efficient offensive unit for the Rebels last year, posting the fourth-best hitting percentage in the conference with a .349 mark. Ratliff was also responsible for 326 of Ole Miss' points on the season, logging a team-high 3.20 per set and eclipsing 1,000 career points to join the elite club. She is also on the cusp of garnering 1,000 career kills as she currently holds 896 across three years.

Fans can get their first glimpse of Ratliff and the 2024 Rebel squad on August 24, when Ole Miss hosts North Alabama for an exhibition before officially kicking off non-conference play on the road.
