COURSE
Spanning 6,269 yards and playing as a par 71, the Seth Raynor-designed Yeamans Hall Club stands as one of South Carolina's best courses, ranking No. 2 course in the state and No. 53 ranked course in the world according to Top100GolfCourses.com. Established in 1925, Yeamans Hall Club stands as a traditionalist's course with its old-style design. The course enjoys just about the firmest playing conditions of any course on the eastern seaboard of the United States, with the course featuring wide, tree-lined fairways and greens which are a trademark of Raynor. Additionally, the club received a much-needed restoration in the late 1980s courtesy of Tom Doak and his then-associate Jim Urbina.

SEARCHIN' FOR A THREE-PEAT
The Rebels are no stranger to finding success at the Cougar Classic, winning the title the past two years in dominant fashion. Last season, Ole Miss put up their best performance in program history, crushing the program and tournament record with a three-round team score of 816 (-36). Caitlyn Macnab and Justine Fournand led the Rebels to earn the two-peat after each shooting a score of 203 (-10) to tie for fifth individually. In 2022, the Rebels came away with the sweep in the team's opening fixture, earning the team title with a three-day score of 839 (-13) and the individual honor as Andrea Lignell blazed the course, shooting 9-under par en route to earn her first of many career medalist finishes.

FRESH FACES
Although this year's squad looks very different after the Rebels lost seven athletes from last season, head coach Kory Henkes was able to welcome a trio of touted freshman to join the returners in Caitlyn Macnab, Nicole Gal, Sophie Linder and Filippa Sundquist. The international newbies of Kajsalotta Svarvar and Larissa Carrillo will look to make an immediate impact for Ole Miss as the pair makes their collegiate debuts in Charleston, while Emerson Blair will support from Oxford as she waits for her opportunity to shine.

PRESEASON RECOGNITION
Heading into the opening week, the Rebels check in at No. 18 in the Golfweek Preseason Rankings, No. 21 in Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll Preseason Rankings and No. 24 in the Golf Channel Preseason Rankings. Caitlyn Macnab earned preseason All-America honors for the second consecutive year as she was recognized on the third-team by Golfweek and Golf Channel.

FALL SLATE
The Cougar Classic marks the first of four fall tournaments that the Rebels will be traveling to in 2024. Following the team's trip to Charleston, the Rebels head to East Lansing, Michigan, for the annual Mary Fossum Invitational Sept. 22-23 at Forest Akers West. The team will then compete at the Illini Women's Invitational from Oct. 7-8 at the Medinah Country Club. The fall schedule then wraps up with the Rebels going to Wilmington, North Carolina for the Landfall Tradition, set to run Oct. 25-27.
