Aliyah Binford Earns Second National Ranking in D1Softball Top-100

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss softball's Aliyah Binford has earned another preseason honor, as D1Softball unveiled their preseason D100 player rankings on Monday morning.
It marks the second top-50 ranking by a major softball publication for the New Braunfels, Texas native. Binford was previously ranked as the No. 32 player in the nation by Softball America on Tuesday.
Additionally, Binford has also taken home preseason second team All-American honors from Softball America.
A highly-regarded two-way player, Binford joins the Rebels this season following a successful career at Baylor, where she earned two NFCA All-Region and All-Big 12 honors in her career. Binford starred last season in her return from season-ending injury in 2023, going 13-12 with a 3.23 ERA in the circle, while hitting .272 with 10 extra-base hits and 21 RBI. As a result, she was named D1Softball's Comeback Player of the Year.
Over her career, Binford holds a record of 40-23 with a 3.12 ERA over 410.2 innings pitched, while also tallying a .297 batting average with 19 home runs, 96 RBI, 37 doubles and 21 stolen bases.
Binford and the Rebels will kick off their regular season on Thursday, February 6 with a pair of games, as they face Clemson at 10 a.m., and Florida Atlantic at 3:30 p.m., at the Paradise Classic, hosted by FAU in Boca Raton, Fla.
