Men’s Tennis Travels to Memphis for First Dual Road Test on ESPN+

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team will head to Memphis on Friday, Jan. 17 for its first road test of the spring season, squaring off against the Memphis Tigers at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
The matchup between the Rebels and the Tigers will be broadcasted on ESPN+ at 5:00 p.m. CT simultaneously with the Ole Miss women's matchup against Memphis. Live scoring and live video will also be available to the public. Links to both can be found above as well as on the Ole Miss men's tennis schedule page.
STARTING OFF HOT
Ole Miss opened their 2025 spring campaign against Eastern Kentucky in a doubleheader event on Monday, Jan. 13 at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center. In the first match of the day, the Rebels dominated early securing the doubles point and then notching victories on the singles courts by Isac Strömberg and Matthieu Chambonniere, followed by Dakotah Bobo securing the win for the Rebels.
In the second match of the doubleheader, Ole Miss dropped the doubles point early but mounted the comeback by capturing four impressive singles wins, all being in straight sets, to earn their second team victory of the day.
MAKING AN IMPACT
Dakotah Bobo made his debut with the Rebels one to remember against Eastern Kentucky on Monday. The junior transfer won three of his four matches during the matchup against the Colonels. The Lafayette, Louisiana, native dominated both of his singles events in straight sets, securing two crucial points for the Rebels. On the doubles court, he teamed up with Noah Schlagenhauf for the first time and found success securing a gritty 7-6 (7-3) victory over Eastern Kentucky's top duo of Fernando Bulnes and Mario Monclus Martin.
TEAM PROFILE: MEMPHIS
Chris Doerr is in his second year at the helm of the Memphis Tigers men's tennis program. Last season, Doerr led the Tigers to a 19-7 record and steered them to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Tigers are led by the senior duo of Conor Gannon and Pablo Alemany who each played at court one and two in singles, respectively, in Memphis' 7-0 sweep over UAB in the Tigers first AAC win of the 2025 season.
