NFL Rebels Update: Conference Championships

1/27/2025 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. In this weekend’s conference championship games, two former Rebels competed with the hopes of making it to the Super Bowl.

#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Brown led the team with 96 receiving yards and caught the only passing touchdown of the day for the Eagles, hauling in six passes in total. He earned the second-highest PFF grade by a receiver of conference championship weekend. Philadelphia won by a final score of 55-23, setting a record for most points scored in a Conference Championship game in NFL history. With the win, a rematch awaits with the Kansas City Chiefs in two weeks. This will be Brown’s second Super Bowl appearance, after the Eagles suffered a narrow loss to the Chiefs, 38-35, in their first meeting in Super Bowl LVII. In that game, Brown recorded 96 receiving yards and one touchdown on six catches. With the win over the Commanders, the Eagles remain undefeated in games in which Brown and quarterback Jalen Hurts are both healthy this season, 17-0.

#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Recorded one catch for seven yards in a 32-29 loss to Kansas City. Knox’s lone catch in the game was a crucial one, taking the Bills down to the two-yard line to set up a go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter.
