1/7/2025 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. As the regular season concludes, many Rebel alumni still have an opportunity to perform as 10 former players helped guide their teams to a spot in the NFL playoffs for the 2024 season.

Former Rebel offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil of the Houston Texans has been named a starter for the 2025 Pro Bowl, taking place on Feb. 2 in Orlando. This is Tunsil’s third consecutive season being selected, and the fifth time of his career. All five appearances have been as a starter. He finished the season with an 88.6 pass blocking grade per PFF, sixth among all offensive linemen in the league. Tunsil anchored the left side of the line all season for Houston, starting all 17 games at left tackle. In 659 pass blocking snaps, he allowed just two sacks. Tunsil had six games with zero pressures allowed, tied for third best among offensive tackles. The Texans won the AFC South for the second consecutive year, clinching the 4-seed.
