Emily Welker has a Chance for both Singles and Doubles titles at the ITA Regionals

AUBURN, Ala. – Emily Welker and Andrea Nova advance to the Doubles ITA Regional Final, with Welker also getting a shot at the Singles ITA Regional Final in Auburn, Alabama.
Touting a 4-0 record in singles this week, Welker advanced to the Quarterfinals in the singles bracket, where she played Alice Battesti of Auburn. She defeated Battesti, 6-3, 6-3, to advance to the Semifinals.
Welker will play Kristina Paskauskas of Alabama tomorrow with a trip to the championship on the line.
Welker and her doubles partner, Andrea Nova, managed to go undefeated this week to advance to the Semifinals of the doubles bracket.
Unlike the previous rounds, the semifinal round featured two six-game sets along with a 10-point tiebreaker. The duo faced off against Amina Salibayeva and Addison Bowman of Alabama. Their match was decided with a 10-point tiebreaker, with the Rebel duo securing the win against Salibayeva and Bowman, 1-6, 6-2 (10-6).
