Ole Miss Athletics Posts Second-Best Graduation Success Rate All-Time

11/20/2025 | Student-Athlete Development

INDIANAPOLIS – Ole Miss Athletics continues to excel in the classroom, posting a score of 93 percent in the latest Graduation Success Rate for 2025 released by the NCAA on Wednesday.

This latest GSR score is three points above the national single-cohort rate of 90 and it ranks as the second-best in Ole Miss history behind a record 94 percent in 2024. This is the third consecutive year Ole Miss has posted a score of at least 90 after having never done so prior to 2023.

Since 2004, Ole Miss has seen its GSR rise exponentially from 69 percent to the current 93 percent. This includes a recent and rapid rise from 75 percent over the last 13 years, as well as a jump from 85 percent since 2018-19 alone.

Across the NCAA, Division I student-athletes continue to graduate at high rates. The overall single-year rate remained high at 90 percent, down just one point from last year. Figures released Wednesday reflect graduation numbers among student-athletes who entered college from 2015 to 2018. This year, all women's sports nationally recorded a graduation rate of 90 percent or better, while all men's sports hit at least 79 percent.

The NCAA has tracked GSR for more than two decades, and student-athletes have long surpassed the original benchmark goal of 80 percent. Since the GSR's inception, the overall student-athlete rate has soared from 74 percent to a three-year consistent rate of at least 90 percent.
