12/1/2025 | Football

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss football senior quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has been named a co-winner of the SEC Offensive Player of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Chambliss had his best passing performance as a Rebel in last Friday's Egg Bowl victory at Mississippi State, going 23-of-34 passing for 359 yards and four touchdowns – his seventh 300-yard game in 10 starts this season. Chambliss also had 26 rushing yards, giving him 385 yards of total offense.

His performance in the Egg Bowl made him only the seventh Ole Miss QB to ever throw for 3,000 yards, currently sitting 11th on the single-season list at 3,016 yards and 10th on the total offense list at 3,486. Chambliss is averaging 348.6 yards of total offense since taking over as the starter in Week Three, including 300.0 in SEC play alone.

No. 5 Ole Miss (11-1, 7-1 SEC) now awaits to see its postseason fate. The Rebels came in at No. 7 in the previous College Football Rankings release on Nov. 25, with the final selection for the CFP slated for Sun., Dec. 7 on ESPN.
