12/1/2025 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – Former Ole Miss softball star and current athletics intern Aliyah Binford has been selected in the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Allocation Draft.
Binford was selected 24th overall in the allocation draft by the AUSL Volts on Monday. Binford signed as an undrafted free agent with the AUSL Blaze last season, hitting .238 with a pair of doubles over seven games after signing in the middle of the season, while going 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA over 13.2 IP and six appearances in the circle, striking out eight.
Over her lone season in Oxford, Binford earned NFCA All-South Region and Women’s College World Series All-Tournament team honors among several distinctions, helping the Rebels surge to a historic run to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in program history.
Binford returns to the AUSL for her second professional season and joins former teammate Ashton Lansdell as Rebel softball players to move on to the professional ranks. Lansdell was selected in the first round of the newly formed Women’s Pro Baseball League’s first draft by WPBL Los Angeles.
