Madison Scott Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss women's basketball's graduate student Madison Scott was named to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team for the second time in her career, the conference announced Wednesday morning.

Scott first earned the conference honor in 2023 when she was a junior, as the SEC continues its efforts in recognizing the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition.

Scott actively promotes Ole Miss' community service efforts through her many volunteering experiences. Scott has partnered with Ashley Homestore's Hope to Dream event in providing 50 bed sets to children in Tunica County, Quitman County and Lafayette County.

The graduate student also joined her team in visiting local elementary schools around the area to greet children in the carpool line, read to local elementary schools in support of reading literacy throughout the state of Mississippi and participated in a local back to school event for elementary schools in the area.

The Indian Head, Maryland, native participated in the Cares Walk, which supported the campus Panhellenic chapters in their initiative to bring awareness to the campus and community of the importance of cancer. This event was also held to raise money for the local Baptist Cancer Association.

Traveling abroad twice this season, Scott has been a part of two youth clinics, one in the Bahamas and one in Paris.

Scott has also been very active with CASA, providing Christmas items for six foster children and attending the Annual CASA Back to School Event that helps prepare foster students for the start of the school year by distributing school supplies and other needs. Scott has participated in many other events around the Oxford area, including Willie Price Spirit Day, RebelTHON, and More than a Meal.
