Men’s Tennis Set for Pair of Matchups Against No. 21 Oklahoma and Georgia

OXFORD, Miss - The Ole Miss men's tennis team (11-8, 2-7 SEC) will welcome No. 21 Oklahoma (11-6, 4-4 SEC) to the Palmer/Salloum Outdoor Tennis Center on Thursday, March 25 at 3:00 p.m. CT for a midweek matchup.
The Rebels will then hit the road for a Saturday afternoon showdown against Georgia (11-7, 5-3 SEC) at 12:00 p.m. CT, which will be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens.

Matthieu Chambonniere (Fr.) - Paris, Île-de-France
-Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on March 5
-Holds a 20-6 overall record on the singles courts and has tallied 13 doubles wins on the season
-Defeated LSU's Brock Anderson, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to clinch the Rebels first SEC win of the 2025 season
-Named the Houndstooth Draw doubles champions at the SEC Challenge with doubles partner Benjamin Martin in the fall
Marcel Kamrowski (Jr.) - Gdańsk, Poland
-Junior transfer from Middle Tennessee State
-Defeated LSU's Alessio Vasquez 6-3, 6-4 to help the Rebel's defeat the Tigers and clinch their first SEC win of the season
-Went 2-0 in his Ole Miss debut against Tulane
-Defeated Asaf Friedler and Vincent Vohl, 6-4, with partner Kai Milburn to tally his first doubles win as a Rebel

Benjamin Martin (Fr.) - Nort-sur-Erdre, France

Isac Strömberg (Jr.) - Stockholm, Sweden
-Defeated Adrian Contreras (EKU), 6-3, 6-1, to open the 2025 spring season
-Bested Alabama's No. 62 Andrii Zimnokh, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the fall season to earn his first ranked win of the 2024-25 season
-Paired up with Kai Milburn against Auburn to take down the No. 13 duo in the country, 7-6 (7-5)
-Holds an 12-13 singles record in the spring campaign
Gordon Whitwell (Jr.) - Oxford, Mississippi
-Defeated Ryan Kitchin and Adrian Contreras (EKU) 6-2 with partner Isac Strömberg to open his junior year spring season
-Secured his first singles win of the spring season over Eastern Kentucky's Darko Kolevski, 6-1, 6-4
-Has secured three wins on the doubles courts with partner Strömberg
-Advanced to the doubles round of 16 at the ITA Southern Regional in the fall season
REBS IN THE RANKINGS
Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn made some noise two weeks ago on the doubles courts after defeating Auburn's 13th-ranked pair of Billy Blaydes and Will Nolan, capturing a 7-6 (7-5) win over Auburn's student-athletes. This win marked the duo's third victory of the season and tallied their first ranked win of the 2025 campaign. After this impressive win, Strömberg and Milburn made their way into the most recent ITA rankings at the No. 78 spot.
ROOKIE SEASON SENSATION
Matthieu Chambonniere has gotten comfortable in his role on court five for the Rebels. His straight set 6-3, 6-3 singles win over Florida's Ben Weintraub, secured the Paris, France, native's 20th singles wins in his freshman campaign, as he leads the Rebels. Earlier this season, Chambonniere was also tabbed with SEC Freshman of the week honors after mounting an electric comeback singles victory against LSU to clinch the match for Ole Miss.
TEAM PROFILE: OKLAHOMA
Nick Crowell is in his ninth season at the helm of the Oklahoma men's tennis team. The No 21 Sooners hold an 11-6 (4-4 SEC) record in the 2025 season. Oklahoma is led by Luis Alvarez who holds a 21-7 record on the singles court. As for doubles, the 46th-ranked duo of Oscar Lacides and Bruno Nhavene lead the way for the Sooners with a 13-5 season record on the doubles court.
TEAM PROFILE: GEORGIA
Jamie Hunt is in his second season at the reins of the Georgia men's tennis program. The 28th-ranked Bulldogs boast a 11-7 (5-3 SEC) record in the 2025 campaign. Georgia is led by Oscar Pinto Sansano who has an impressive 23-10 singles record. The No. 16 ranked double pair of Ryan Colby and Thomas Paulsell have earned a 11-9 record on the season for Georgia. Additionally, the Bulldogs have three ranked singles athletes in the top-35 and three ranked doubles in the top-60.
