Men’s Track & Field No. 18 in Week Six USTFCCCA Indoor Rating Index

NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss men's track & field ranks No. 18 in the latest USTFCCCA Indoor Rating Index released Tuesday morning.
 
This marks the 57th total top-25 appearance for the Ole Miss men indoors since the rating system began in 2008, the 32nd under 10th-year head coach Connie Price-Smith. Of the now 114 total indoor rankings appearances in Ole Miss history, Price-Smith owns 81 (49 women, 32 men). 
 
The USTFCCCA's National Rating Index is a computer rating system which uses an algorithm that emphasizes individual performances, assigning a point value to each individual mark that contributes to a team total to assess its national ranking
 
Junior Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan – already on the first two watch lists for The Bowerman for 2025 – currently accounts for 40.75 of Ole Miss' 48.75 points in the Week Six Index. The reigning NCAA indoor and outdoor shot put champion continues to hold a commanding lead of the NCAA rankings for a sixth consecutive week with his career-best heave of 21.11m/69-03.25 from two weeks ago (24.60 points). Robinson-O'Hagan also ranks fourth nationally in the weight throw with his career-best 24.35m/79-03.75 (16.15 points) which won him gold in the SEC Championships last weekend and earned him USTFCCCA Co-National Athlete of the Week honors on Monday.
 
Fellow junior Arvesta Troupe currently owns 6.63 points himself with a career-best 2.22m/7-03.25 in the high jump at the SEC Championships last weekend, which ranks 10th overall in Division I and third in the SEC.
 
Other Rebel men contributing are Gabe Scales, Max Armstrong, Marcus Dropik and Evan Thornton-Sherman in the distance medley relay (17th, 9:24.07-OT), junior Bryson Smith in the weight throw (24th, 22.06m/72-04.50), junior Mason Hickel in the weight throw (28th, 21.87m/71-9), senior Iangelo Atkinstall-Daley in the triple jump (15.67m/51-5) and senior Toby Gillen in both the 5K (25th, 13.28.34) and 3K (34th, 7:48.66).
 
Up next for Ole Miss will be the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, this year held in Virginia Beach on March 14-15.
