Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan Named SEC Co-Men’s Field Athlete of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss track & field junior Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan has been SEC Co-Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

The Rebel junior and member of The Bowerman watch list set the NCAA lead in the shot put during his outdoor debut last weekend at Florida's Tom Jones Memorial, winning on a heave of 20.75m/68-1.

Robinson-O'Hagan also won the men's hammer invite on a blast of 74.54m/244-7 that tied his career-best and school record from the U.S. Olympic Trials last summer. That performance currently ranks tied for fifth in the U.S. and sixth in the collegiate rankings.

His outdoor debut performances isolate him as the lone collegian and one of two throwers worldwide this year to break 69 feet in the shot put and 240 feet in the hammer (when including his indoor shot put mark).

Ole Miss will have this week off before its final meet of the regular season, the LSU Invite, down in Baton Rouge on May 3.
